Air Zoo Opens New Extreme Sports Exhibit
The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center in Portage has launched a new adrenaline-filled exhibit called “Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits”. The exhibit runs now through Oct. 31 and takes visitors into the heart of extreme sports, from wingsuit flying and ice climbing to parkour and free diving!
Massive Music Festival with Kid Rock, Nickelback and Others in Hastings This Weekend
An estimated 25,000 people are expected to attend the “Rock the Country” traveling country music festival in Hastings tomorrow night and Saturday. Kid Rock, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and other country music artists are performing at the festival, one of only 10 stops across the U.S.
Wee Course to Offer More Options to Southwest Michigan Golfers
Harbor Shores Resort in Benton Harbor is adding a shorter, more accessible golf course designed to welcome players of all skill levels. The Wee Course is expected to open in late August, with an opening slated for next spring. It will include a patio with seating for 40-50 people and Montie’s Place, which will offer Scottish-inspired cocktails. An 18-hole putting course will be the perfect complement.

Binder Park Zoo Celebrates 50th year
Binder Park Zoo’s 50th anniversary season will be filled with events. Check out the Cheetah Chase 5K, Wild Wednesdays, and a brand new lineup of live music performances. Since opening in 1975, it has hosted more than 10 million visitors.
Funding Approved for a $40M Indoor Sports Facility
We’re thrilled to see the approval of funding for a new $40 million indoor youth sports complex. If all goes as planned, this indoor sports facility will feature eight basketball courts or 16 volleyball courts, as well as an indoor turf field.
